Lunar Eclipse

Tonight was the first clear lunar eclipse to have occurred since I purchased my digital SLR. Work may have prevented me from catching the first part of the eclipse, but the final half was beautiful.

A winter climbing competition

Vertical Endeavors hosted Passion for Flashin’, their annual climbing competition. It was 10 degrees and snowing outside, but inside it was warm and the climbing routes were challenging. Once I figure out how to post videos, I’ll put some up.

Democratic Precint Caucuses

Tonight was the Super Tuesday election for president. Minnesotans were able to attend their Democratic caucus meetings in their home precincts. It was an opportunity to cast an important presidential vote and an opportunity to meet neighbors. My precinct usually does not have more than 150 people show up in presidential years. This year over 850 people attended. It was a remarkable evening.

Other precincts had huge turnouts as well, including Ed Kohler’s, author of The Deets.
