Minnesota State Fair

Spending 11 hours at one place presents unique challenges.  Fortunately there are many ways to amuse, educate, and feed oneself at the Minnesota State Fair.  Two strategies for surviving involve arriving early, before the crowds and the heat of the day, and going with people willing to walk and laugh a lot.

Citizen Cafe

Citizen Cafe is the new restaurant in the south Minneapolis building that used to be Sweet Lorraine’s.  Their breakfast menu is simple, tasty, and worth repeat business.

Boundary Waters canoe trip
